The mini-course

Five short modules. Each links to the full lesson in the Academy.

Module 1

🌱 The big idea

We recycle β†’ exchange for EP (Cashback) β†’ the archipelago heals. Grow exchanges over time and the group levels up; at Level 10 it moves to the next Stage. Score = ~70% exchanges per location + ~30% effort.

Module 2

♻️ How to exchange (3 steps)

1. Gather recyclables (paper, PET, tin, glass). 2. Bring them to the nearest exchange center (TTCB Mart / MBE-C) β€” it doesn't have to be in your building. 3. Earn EP, then redeem it for goods & services at partner stores (1 EP = β‚±1; redeem, not cash).

Module 3

🏝️ Stages & Levels

A Level (1β†’10) is your progress bar within a stage; a Stage is a bigger chapter. Six named stages β€” and it never ends (🌊 Ascension Waves after Kapuluan).

Module 4

🎁 Redeeming your EP

EP / Cashback is redeemed for goods & services at bXTRA PH partner stores (1 EP = β‚±1 in value). It is not cash and can't be withdrawn. It either delivers or you visit the store.

Reference on the program, the rules, the words, and the common questions.

What is the Eco-Champion program?
Trash to Cashback rewards recycling: you exchange recyclables for EP / Cashback (redeemable for goods & services). The Eco-Champion layer ("Ang Kapuluan") turns Concentrix's real recovery into one motivating picture β€” an archipelago that heals as exchanges grow β€” and a clear "what to do next." It's an effort + recovery index, kept separate from the audited ESG figures, and it is not money.
Glossary β€” the words we use
EP / Cashback β€” points earned from exchanging recyclables. Redeem them for goods & services at partner stores (1 EP = β‚±1). Not cash, not withdrawable.
Exchange β€” dropping off recyclables at a center and earning EP. The primary thing we grow.
Exchange center (MBE-C / TTCB Mart) β€” where you drop off recyclables. Use the nearest one; it need not be in your building.
Redemption partner β€” a store where you spend/redeem EP.
Stage (1β†’6+) β€” a chapter of the culture: Unang Liwanag β†’ Paggising β†’ Pag-uugnay β†’ Agos β†’ Bayanihan β†’ Kapuluan β†’ 🌊 Ascension Waves (∞).
Level (1β†’10) β€” progress within a stage. Level 10 β†’ next stage.
Behavioral Points (BP) β€” the tangible unit that fills the levels: 100 BP = 1 Level, 1,000 BP = 1 Stage. Earned by the behaviors that move the score (exchanges per location, activating people, inviting nearby stores, running missions). The dashboard shows how many more BP you need for the next level/stage ("not enough Behavioral Points yet β€” N more").
Trial β†’ Active (program tier) β€” Behavioral Points also gate access: below 1,000 BP = πŸ§ͺ Trial (print/export/records are limited); at/above = βœ… Active (full print & export unlock). It renews as long as you sustain the points β€” let engagement slip and it can drop back to Trial. Earn your access by actually running the program.
Milestone β€” the measurable achievement that marks passing a stage (πŸ…).
Maintenance β€” hold β‰₯70% of your best year, or the standing can drop.
Access β€” whether people can reach an exchange center (nearest counts).
bXTRA account β€” your account that saves EP and tags your recyclables to the team's effort.
The rules that matter
βœ… EP is redeemed for goods & services β€” never "spent like cash" or withdrawn.
βœ… Nearest center counts β€” a site doesn't need an on-site exchange center.
βœ… Exchanges are primary; tree/COβ‚‚ equivalents are secondary (they live in the ESG & Carbon tab).
βœ… Privacy β€” the employer sees aggregate, site-level activity only; no individual employee data is exposed.
βœ… Maintain, don't just peak β€” the aim is to hold β‰₯70% of your best, not to always be #1.
βœ… ESG figures are separate β€” the Eco-Champion score is never deducted from Scope 1/2/3, and avoided emissions are not carbon credits.
How the score works (in one screen)
Score = exchanges 70% + effort 30%.
Exchanges = coverage (sites exchanging) Β· intensity (how much) Β· momentum (still active) Β· maintenance (β‰₯70% of best) Β· access (reachable center).
Effort = activation (people) Β· redemption density (nearby stores) Β· mission cadence.
The score maps to Stage Γ— Level; a stage can never run ahead of your first unmet milestone; drop the pace below 70% and the stage can go down.
FAQ
Do I need an exchange center in my own building? No β€” use the nearest one.
Is EP cash? No β€” you redeem it for goods & services at partner stores. It isn't cash and can't be withdrawn.
We were great last year but slow this year β€” does that matter? Yes. The standing can go down; the aim is to maintain β‰₯70% of your best.
Where do I sign up? Open a bXTRA account, then tell your site champion the number/email you used. Sign up β†’
Will my personal data be shown to Concentrix? No β€” only aggregate, site-level activity.

Recycle right Β· at home

Cleaner + more separated = more points

Every material β€” even the parts of one bottle β€” is a different type worth a different amount. The more "recycling-ready" (clean, dry, and sorted into its own bag) it is when you exchange it, the more EP you earn.

The golden rule

🧼 Clean Β· πŸ—‚οΈ Separated Β· πŸ“ˆ More points

Empty it, rinse it, dry it, and put each material in its own bag. A clean, well-sorted drop-off is worth more than a mixed, dirty one β€” mixed or soiled items drag down the whole batch. All the types below are accepted; sorting them just earns you more.
Star example

🧴 One PET bottle = three different plastics

A single-use bottle isn't one material β€” the body, the cap and the label are each a different plastic with its own point value. Separate them and you're paid for three streams instead of one messy one.
🍢
Bottle body
PET (#1) β€” the main plastic. Rinse & flatten. Keep single-use PET together.
πŸ”΅
Cap
A different plastic (usually HDPE #2 or PP #5). Twist it off β†’ its own bag.
🏷️
Label / wrap
Another plastic (PP or shrink film). Peel it off β†’ its own bag.
Do this: empty β†’ rinse β†’ peel the label β†’ twist off the cap β†’ flatten the body β†’ three bags: bodies, caps, labels. More separated = more points. πŸ’š
Prep each material

🧴 Plastics (PET Β· HDPE Β· PP…)

Empty, rinse, dry. Separate caps and labels from bottle bodies. Different plastic types = different points, so keep types in separate bags. Flatten to save space.

πŸ“„ Paper

Keep it dry (wet paper is worth much less). Remove plastic sleeves, tape and staples. Flatten. If you can, keep clean office/white paper apart from newspaper.

πŸ“¦ Cardboard / carton

Break down and flatten boxes. Remove packing tape and labels. Keep dry and free of food/grease.

🍾 Glass

Rinse. Remove caps/lids (metal lids go with metal). Handle whole where possible; separate by colour if your center asks.

πŸ₯« Metal Β· tin Β· aluminum

Empty and rinse cans; flatten them. Keep aluminum (soda cans) apart from tin/steel (food cans) β€” they're different values.

⚠️ Keep these out

Food waste, greasy or heavily soiled items, tissues, and mixed non-recyclables β€” they contaminate the batch and lower everyone's points.
🀝 Do it together β€” how the community climbs

Clean, sorted drop-offs from many homes = more levels & stages

Segregate at home. Set up labeled bins/bags (PET bodies Β· caps & labels Β· paper Β· cardboard Β· glass Β· metal). Cleaner + sorted = more points per exchange.
Bring the family & neighbors in. More people exchanging = more breadth β€” that's how the group climbs level to level.
Exchange a little, often. Regular drop-offs protect the team's maintenance β‰₯70% and keep the standing rising, not slipping.
Run a community or Dept-vs-Dept drive. A collection push lifts exchanges across many sites at once β†’ faster stage-ups.
Every clean, well-segregated bag from a household is real recovery β€” it grows exchanges over time, which is ~70% of how Concentrix moves from stage to stage.
Tips & tricks

Climb faster

🧭 For admins / site champions

Re-activate quiet sites. A location that exchanged before but not lately drags momentum. Nudge those first β€” the dashboard's goal card names them.
Keep a monthly rhythm. A regular drop-off at every site beats one big dump β€” it protects your maintenance β‰₯70% and your standing.
Run a Dept-vs-Dept Eco-Mission. Missions lift exchanges across many sites at once and add cadence to the score.
Invite nearby stores. More redemption partners near each site β†’ EP is easier to use β†’ more people exchange.
Grow individual participation. Facility recovery is strong; enrolling more people is the lever from Bayanihan upward.

♻️ For employees

Use the nearest center. You don't need one in your building β€” drop off at the closest TTCB Mart / MBE-C.
A little, often. Exchanging regularly helps the whole team maintain its standing more than a rare big batch.
Open a bXTRA account. It saves your EP and tags your recyclables to the team β€” then tell your champion your number/email.
Redeem near you. Spend EP on goods & services at partner stores close to your site (1 EP = β‚±1).
Sort clean & dry. Paper, PET, tin and glass sorted and dry are quicker to exchange and worth more EP.
